There are many reptile series available for consideration and although this series does not provide a unique approach, it has solid information for young readers. The series focuses on lizards in their natural habitats as opposed to lizards as pets. The photos are excellent, though labels for some of the pictures would have been helpful. Although found in other books, the inclusion of certain facts might make a budding herpetologist search for more information. If you need to update your reptile books, this series deserves consideration. Additional Selection. School Library Journal [May 2015]
